Meet Harriet

Harriet Summerfield - Counselling & Psychotherapy

If you’re in a period of crisis, such as a life change, separation, or bereavement, or are struggling with anxiety, stress or depression, you may require a series of counselling sessions over a few weeks and months. If you are concerned about repetitive patterns around your thought processes, your relationship with yourself, and/or others, then psychotherapy may suit you better.

One to one counselling or psychotherapy will offer you the opportunity to explore your issues in a safe, confidential space with a trained and registered therapist and help you move forward with whatever you’re struggling with. Sessions are around 50 minutes and can be weekly or fortnightly.

Therapy room at the centre

I offer face to face sessions in my therapy room at The Ishta Centre, 26 Kings Avenue, Stone, Staffordshire ST15 8HD. This is a safe and comfortable environment for you to have therapy. Face to face sessions can be held weekly or fortnightly and last around 50 minutes. Daytime and early evening slots are available. There is free parking on site.

Outdoor therapy

Taking therapy outdoors can lower anxiety, stress levels and help manage depression and enhance a sense of positive wellbeing. Being outdoors can offer an inspiring place to reflect and process thoughts and emotions. You may feel more comfortable walking side-by-side on a ‘walk and talk’, without the intensity of prolonged eye contact, taking in nature as you go, along with the psychotherapeutic benefits of talking to a trained and qualified counsellor.

Online therapy

Many people find online video or telephone therapy accessible and convenient, with no travel time or parking issues, feeling comfortable in your own surroundings or in a quiet uninterrupted office at work during a break, or even parked up in your car. You may feel more open, less self-conscious, and a little more anonymous working with me in this way.

Wondering if therapy could actually help?

There’s only one way to find out - book your first session today with Harriet.
