I
am a fully qualified Reflexologist and Thermo-Auricular Therapist. I studied
the Ingham method of Reflexology here at the Ishta Centre. This method
was founded by the late Eunice Ingham in the early 1930's and has been
continued by her nephew Dwight Bowers.
I
suffered for many years with unexplained numbness and tingling in the
front part of my neck and also in my left foot. I underwent extensive
research into the reason for my symptoms. I had physiotherapy, blood tests,
nerve tests and even MRI scans. All were unsuccessful in solving the mystery
of my symptoms and I was advised that there was nothing else that could
be done so I should try and learn to live with it.
A
chat with a friend one day led me down the path of complimentary therapies.
They had always fascinated me but the particular therapy she mentioned
was completely new to me. I had heard of Reflexology but new nothing about
it. After my first treatment I had instant results involving slight improvement
in my symptoms. A course of treatments later my numbness and tingling
subsided. Top up treatments keep me in tune.
I
wanted to know more about this wonderful treatment I'd had and the only
way I could see of doing that was to partake in a course and with that
came a whole new career.
