Hello! I am Joanne Green and am the newest addition to the Ishta Centre. I am a fully qualified Reflexologist and Thermo-Auricular Therapist.

I qualified in the Ingham Method of Reflexology which was founded by the late Eunice Ingham in the early 1930's and is now continued by her nephew Dwight Bowers. My Reflexology course took place at the Ishta Centre where I will now be working from, initially one day per week.

Reflexology

Reflexology is based on the principle that we have reflex areas in our hands and feet that correspond to specific areas of our bodies. Reflexology is the method of using the thumbs and fingers to stimulate these areas.

Reflexology can help to relieve stress and tension which most of us suffer with at some time or another due to our busy lifestyles

Reflexology can help to improve our bodies nerve and blood supply which in turn increases its ability to heal itself.

Reflexology helps to balance the body and mind to bring about a state of 'homeostasis'.

Thermo-Auricular Therapy

Thermo-Auricular Therapy is a treatment which involves the use of Hopi Ear Candles which are placed gently in the ear after being lit. They work with a chimney effect by drawing any impurities to the surface of the ear where they can be gently removed. They equalize the pressure in the head and so are ideal for if you are due to take a flight. This therapy can help with a number of conditions.
