 A revitalising and cleansing fresh vegetable juice

This is from a great book about food combining, Fit for Life by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond.

The following will make a large glass of this tasty and healthy juice. Have it about 10 minutes before eating anything else and drink it slowly.

8 large carrots, cut the ends off but no need to peel

1 stalk of celery, discard leaves

¼ small beetroot

1 medium tomato

1 small red or green pepper

1 small handful spinach or fresh parsley

Run all the vegetables through a juicer and enjoy. It is best to consume juices as soon as possible after juicing them as this ensures you get the most vitamins.

You can use any vegetables but approximately ½-1/3 of the juice needs to be carrot.
