Aniseedy Cabbage Soup
This soup will help to support your liver/gall bladder cleanse. It has a sweet flavour with a special pungency from the aniseed.
12 oz/336 gm hard cabbage 8 oz/225 gm fennel 12 oz/336 gm carrot 4 oz/110 gm potato 1 oz/25 gm butter 1-2 teaspoons aniseed 2 pints water 1 teaspoon light miso Method
Chop all the vegetables. Melt the butter in a pan add all the vegetables, and aniseed. Cook slowly turning occasionally for about 10 minutes or until the vegetables begin to reduce in size. Add the water, bring to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes or until cooked. Add miso, stir well and partially liquidise.
