 CONNECTIONS to HEALTH

Cut your fuel costs by 20%.

In 1997 we were given a video showing ball bearings rubbing against each other. As I recall it was called the Failex test, but I might have the name wrong now. It lasted an hour and was immensely boring!

The reason we were given it was so that we could find out about a metal conditioner for engines which was supposed to increase performance and reduce emissions from our cars. At the same time it would also reduce our fuel consumption.

To be honest my brain melted every time I tried to watch it so I could never decide whether it was any good or not.

As often happens with being a Chiropractor, one of my patients came to the rescue. At the time I (Allyn) was treating the chap who was responsible for servicing and repairing the aeroplanes at Liverpool airport. I casually told him about the video and he asked if he could watch it as he liked that kind of thing! He returned it the following week and said that if the video hadn't been faked then the stuff looked amazing. The stuff was called Roil.

Roil

The Trial

On the strength of that we decided to try it out. You simply add it to your oil at the next oil change and it would condition the metal so there would be less friction. There was also some Roil you put in your fuel tank to condition the upper engine.

At the time we were both commuting from Stone to Liverpool and London and between us we used about £50 worth of fuel a week. Remember, this was over ten years ago when fuel was cheap.

Well guess what? We found that between us we were saving about £12.50 a week. We were very impressed, especially as the stuff only cost us about £35 for the two lots of Roil.

Since then we have used it in all our vehicles giving us reduced fuel costs, greater efficiency and less emissions.

Our Best Result

As some of you will remember we used to have an old campervan, which we sadly had to sell last year. When we got it, a full tank of fuel would get us about 300 miles and the fastest it would go was just over 60 mph downhill.

We had it serviced and put Roil in the engine, gearbox and transmission. We also treated the upper engine with the fuel additive. As a result the van could cruise all day on French motorways (definitely not on English motorways) at 80 mph and we would get over 400 miles to a tank of fuel. In fact if we kept the speed down to 60 mph we would get about 600 miles to a tank of fuel.

Do you want to save money and the environment?

Roil works for petrol or diesel engines. I suppose the oil additive will work for LPG but there isn't a fuel additive for that. Currently the retail cost for one oil additive and one fuel additive is £45.29 but we can organise for you to deal direct with our supplier and you'll get about a third off the retail price, or only £30.19.

If you want more information contact Allyn or Sue.

But there's more

You may have heard about magnetic fuel economisers. They are magnets that you attach to the fuel line of your car and improve the way the fuel is burnt so there is less waste and emissions. This improves your mile per gallon.

Now here's an interesting thing

The interesting thing about these kinds of magnetic products is that they are condemned as useless by people who haven't tried them, but know all the scientific reasons why they can't work but are enthusiastically endorsed by the people who do use them but don't care about the science!

Isn't that interesting?

Generally I find the "sceptics" to be a gang of sneering bullies who aren't sceptical at all. They believe that they can't work just as much as a fundamentalist believes in the literal truth of their dogma. They don't conduct a very simple experiment (wouldn't that be a scientific approach?) and try one and see if it makes a difference.

Here's one to try

Someone has told us about one of these devices that costs £15 and comes with a 60 day money back guarantee. If you don't think it works just send it back and get your money back. You can find more information about it here http://www.gainex.co.uk/index.html

It can be used for other fuel sources as well as for petrol and diesel. Someone has told us they use it on their gas boiler pipe which reduces the carbon build-up in the combustion chamber and so it appears that the gas burns more efficiently.

We're going to try one and see for ourselves. We'll keep you posted about how it goes.

Gosh! At this rate we'll hardly be using any fuel.
