Transition Stone

How are you going to cope when the oil runs out? It doesn't have to run out, it could just become too expensive for transport costs.

Another question: How are we going to feed ourselves when the oil runs out? Today we are using 2000 oil calories for every single food calorie produced!

Be part of the solution

An exciting new group is forming in Stone called Transition Stone. Transition Initiatives aim to equip local communities for the twin challenges of climate change and peak oil, through positive, community based action.

"Essentially it involves ordinary people making a difference, rather than waiting for the 'powers that be' to make decisions, and might include rebuilding local agriculture and food production, localising energy production, re-thinking healthcare and re-discovering local building materials."
