CONNECTIONS to HEALTHIssue 12 |
All I ask is the chance
to prove that money can't make me happy.
Hello! and welcome to this issue. Golly a whole year has gone by since we started this newsletter. We hope you've enjoyed it as much as we have. DetoxificationThis is the first part of a series explaining how to detoxify the body. In this, the introduction, we are talking about why we need to detoxify and what it is we are detoxifying. Vital information.
What do Chiropractors do?The difference between manipulation and what Chiropractors do is explained quite eloquently.
A case for discernmentWho to trust to give us accurate information is a serious consideration when so many people have a vested interest in telling you only what they want you to know. This article gives a very unusual example of this and how, to quote Pete Townsend, we won't get fooled agin. A horse is a horse of course of course....... The Health FairThe program of talks is now ready for this long awaited event. Remember to come and say hello to us on the 10th November. The Real ThingA disasterous food experience at a French motorway service station got Allyn thinking. Is there nothing he can't get something positive out of? English is a challengeAs we have been writing more to produce these newsletters we have been discovering more of the idiosyncrasies of the English language. Self help course at the Ishta CentreHave you ever wanted to be able to help keep your family and friends healthy? Well this course might be just what you are looking for. There is only limited space on these courses and they are already booking up so get a move on.
Stop the PressAllyn has just completed (yesterday) the training in Koren Specific Technique, which is a new style of Chiropractic to the UK. There were only four Chiropractors in the UK on the directory before this course. We will be integrating the technique into our practice over the coming months. It is even gentler than McTimoney but is especially good for sorting out those stubborn problems which are slow to respond. If you want to give it a try talk to Allyn. He will be writing an article about it for the next edition.
Recommendation of the month
Each month a product or service which we feel can increase your wellness.
Book of the month
Each month we'll give you a suggestion for a book that can make a big improvement to your wellbeing.
Recipe of the month
Mouth watering yummyness that's good for you too!
Audio program of the month
Each month we aim to give you a free audio program which you can download and listen to anywhere you like. They will be in mp3 format but you can simply burn them onto a CD for ease of listening. They are streamed audio which means that it will take a little time for the buffer to download, which depends on the speed of your internet connection. Happy listening.
Once you've open the above link, if you want to save the file directly to your hard drive then right-click the link for the audio program and select Save Target As...
Humour
A little something each month to make you smile. After all laughter is the best medicine... ...unless, of course, you have tuberculosis!
A closing thought
Something to ponder until next time. Bye for now.
