Claire Phillipson MIFPA MBTER Aromatherapist and Bowen Technique Practitioner Background and Qualifications Claire practises Aromatherapy, and Bowen Technique, and has been working as a complementary therapist since 1993. She now practises from centres in Stone and Ashbourne. I originally experienced the benefits of aromatherapy whilst expecting my second child and I went on to study, qualifying in 1993. Since then I have undergone post-graduate training in additional massage techniques and clinical aromatherapy. In 2002 I completed my Second Degree in Reiki. More recently I became interested in the Bowen Technique after my partner took part in a trial for the treatment of asthma with impressive effects on his health. After having Bowen treatment myself for an ongoing neck problem I was amazed at its gentle, holistic approach and very positive results and decided to learn the technique for myself. I qualified with the European College of Bowen Studies in September 2004 and I am a member of the Bowen Therapists' European Register (BTER). I am very pleased to be able to add Bowen treatment to the range of therapies that I can offer clients. All of these therapies, though different in some ways, allow me to treat people holistically, as individuals and with the primary aim of stimulating a person's own healing process. I believe this is the most effective way to lasting health and well being.
