Allyn worked for the National Health Service for fifteen years
as an Immunologist. He worked in clinical immunology as well as doing
immunological and medical research. In fact he gained his fellowship in 1984
by publishing his original work in immunology. Part of his job was training
newly qualified doctors in immunology.
He followed his obsession with the body's ability to heal itself by training as a McTimoney Chiropractor, where he learnt more ways to potentiate the innate healing abilities of the body. He eventually became the senior practical tutor at the McTimoney Chiropractic College in Oxford and was responsible for training the chiropractic students in the technique for six years. During that time he was also the lecturer in Chiropractic Philosophy.
Once he discovered Spinal Touch and went to America to train with Dr. LaMar Rosquist he realised that this was the most simple, elegant and powerful way to enhance the body's own innate healing abilities that he had yet encountered. Since then he has been actively promoting and teaching Ishta Spinal Touch in the UK and Europe.
